Car window stickers are made to stick to glass and smooth plastics. They’re not suitable for textured or rubber trims, so placing them directly on a clean window gives the best result.
Inside vs outside car window stickers
Car window stickers can be applied to either the inside or outside of the glass. Some people prefer hiding the sticker behind the glass for protection, while others want the brightest possible colour on the outside. Both work, so it’s just about what feels right for your design.
When to choose inside-glass car window stickers
Use inside-glass stickers when you want your design on the inner side of the window but still visible from the outside. This option keeps the sticker protected from weather and UV exposure and works well for permits, passes, and long-term displays that shouldn’t be exposed to the elements.
When to choose outside-glass car window stickers
Choose outside-glass stickers when maximum visibility is important. This option works better on tinted glass and ensures colours stay clear and bright. It’s ideal for promotional designs, club logos, safety notices, and stickers that need to be seen quickly.
Clear vinyl and white ink for car windows
Clear vinyl gives your sticker that clean “printed straight onto the glass” look. The background stays transparent, so your design feels like part of the window instead of something stuck on top.
To keep every colour bright and readable, we add white ink underneath your artwork. Without it, designs on clear vinyl can look a bit faint, especially on tinted windows. The white layer acts like a base coat that makes everything pop.
You can keep your whole design solid with a full white underprint or leave certain areas see-through for a lighter look. Together, clear vinyl and white ink make your sticker crisp, bold, and easy to spot on any car window. It’s a small detail, but it makes a big difference in how your sticker looks.
Car window sticker materials and durability
Car window stickers are made from automotive-grade clear vinyl, usually 50–70 microns thick. This material is stable in outdoor conditions, so it won’t warp, shrink, or peel when exposed to sunlight or temperature changes.
The adhesive is a permanent acrylic adhesive designed for glass. Acrylic adhesives hold their tack in both hot and cold weather, resist edge lifting, and stay secure even when the window heats up in direct sun.
A gloss laminate protects the print from scratches, car-wash brushes, detergents, and road dust. It also includes UV inhibitors that slow fading, helping the colours stay bright over time.
We print using CMYK + white inks with high outdoor stability. These inks are resistant to UV exposure, and when combined with the laminate, they keep your design clear and readable for long-term use.
Custom sizes for car window stickers
You can choose the exact size you need, from small badges to large window graphics. Sizes start at 2 cm × 2 cm, which works well for tiny icons or membership stickers. You can also go up to 58 cm wide and up to 500 cm long for decals that run across a window. Just enter the size you want, and we’ll adjust it during proofing if anything needs tweaking.
