What are transfer stickers?
Transfer stickers get cut from a single piece of vinyl then the excess is removed by hand.
This means no part can be smaller than 3mm; otherwise, it’s too small to stay in place.

Because transfer stickers are cut from a single piece of colored vinyl, we can only produce these stickers in a single color.

These stickers are digitally cut according to your design, then the excess is removed by hand.
You can choose any size from 1.6 inches to 22.83 inches wide and up to 196.85 inches long.
Our stickers stickers come backed with a medium-strength glue, so they will stick to most surfaces.
They will also not leave much glue residue behind when peeling away.
Transfer stickers are made up of many smaller pieces, depending on the design.
We use transparent, removable transfer tape to keep everything in place for application. You remove this layer once your sticker is in place.

Why choose transfer stickers?
Most stickers sit on top of a surface. Transfer stickers feel like they belong to it. The vinyl is the design. There is no surrounding film, no printed base, nothing between your artwork and the surface.
That difference is most obvious up close. Sharp text, fine lines, and geometric logos hold their edges in a way printed stickers rarely match.
When to use them, and when not to
Transfer stickers work best for artwork that uses a single solid color. Wordmarks, logos, icons, geometric shapes, anything with clean edges and no gradients.
If your design has multiple colors or photographic detail, printed vinyl stickers will serve you better.
Surfaces
These stickers bond reliably to glass, powder-coated metal, acrylic, anodized aluminum, painted walls, and most smooth plastics.
Rough or heavily textured surfaces reduce adhesion, especially on thin parts of the design. Fabric does not work.
For curved surfaces, the vinyl follows gentle curves without lifting. Tight bends are more difficult.
If applying to freshly painted surfaces, wait at least 30 days for the paint to fully cure first.
How long do they last
Outdoors on a clean, smooth surface, expect custom transfer stickers to last 3 to 5 years before visible fading. Direct sun and repeated heat cycling will shorten that. Indoors, they last considerably longer.
The adhesive releases cleanly on surfaces in good condition. No scraping, no residue.
FAQs
What file format do I need?
Vector files give the cleanest results (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF with outlines). If you only have a PNG or JPG, upload it anyway. We'll check whether it can be prepared for cutting before your proof. Or, you can use our free design tool to add cutlines.
What is the minimum detail size?
Any individual element needs to be at least 3mm across. Smaller than that and the vinyl tends to tear during weeding or lift during application.
Can I get more than one color?
Each order is one vinyl color. Some customers order two separate colors and layer them on the surface. This works well for simple two-color logos where the shapes do not overlap.
Will they damage the surface on removal?
On properly cured surfaces in good condition, no. The adhesive releases without pulling paint or leaving residue.
