Are stickers eco-friendly?
That depends. Traditionally, custom stickers are made from plastic, which is not eco-friendly. However, we offer a range of sustainable stickers made from renewable resources, are vegan, and fully compostable.
Sounds too good toe be true? Keep reading to learn more about the world of sustainable stickers.

What makes stickers eco-friendly?
A sticker is considered eco-friendly when it doesn’t harm the environment, conserves resources, and avoids polluting the air, water, or land. These products are non-toxic, use natural ingredients, and are made in ways that do not damage ecosystems.
That means eco-friendliness depends not just on what the sticker is made of, but also how it’s made. For example, wood stickers aren’t automatically eco-friendly if they contribute to deforestation.
Our eco-friendly stickers are made from natural, sustainably sourced materials. They’re printed on a carbon-neutral printer using UV-cured ink, feature a biodegradable acrylic-based pressure-sensitive adhesive, and are shipped in eco-conscious packaging.
Which stickers are environmentally friendly?
As mentioned earlier, not all custom stickers are environmentally friendly. Here’s a breakdown of our most sustainable options.
Biodegradable stickers
Biodegradable stickers are made from paper, but not just any paper. These stickers are crafted from sugarcane fiber, linen, and hemp, making them fully compostable.
These materials are blended into an uncoated paper that has a smooth matte finish, perfect for vibrant colors. This type of sticker is ideal for sealing cardboard boxes, branding food packaging, and more.
Eco-friendly stickers
Our eco-friendly stickers are available in white, clear, holographic, glitter, silver, and gold.
These stickers are made from sustainably sourced wood pulp and coated with a biodegradable protective layer that makes them waterproof.
Since they’re made with natural ingredients, these stickers can completely break down within 12 weeks.
Not sure which material to choose? We recommend ordering custom samples so you can test each one before committing.
What about vinyl stickers?
Traditional stickers are often made from plastic materials, which aren’t great for the environment. But there are better plastic options that reduce environmental impact.
Vinyl stickers usually start as plastic film made from PVC, a material you’ve probably heard of before. Unfortunately, PVC is hard to recycle. That’s why we use polypropylene for our vinyl stickers.
Polypropylene is widely recyclable, so you can simply toss your vinyl stickers in your regular recycling bin to give them a second life.
